TRASH YOUR WEDDING DRESS BABY!

Your wedding day has come and gone and by all accounts it turned out a real cracker. Nice! So the next morning you hang up your wedding dress (which your new husband was having a lot of fun trying to get you out of last night before he slipped off the bed and onto his head). Anyway, you hang up your dress or pack it away and that’s that – no more wedding dress. Until you take it out again in 30 years from now, only for your drop-dead gorgeous eldest daughter to turn round and say: ‘Um, nooooo, I’m not wearing THAT! What were you THINKING mom?’ Oh dear. Oh dearie, dearie me, what a letdown. So girl, you’ve got to take a good, long fond look at your wedding dress and make that big decision. Do you trash it? Or do you stow it away?  Do you leave it to gather moth balls and a musty smell as it slowly yellows, or do you give it so much sex appeal, oomph and ooo-la-la that (with in you in it), that you look like the bomb of bombs! To me it’s a no-brainer. Trash the Dress is the way to go I’m afraid. Look, you don’t have to trash it completely. You don’t have to rip it to shreds or run through a fire in it (but you could if you wanted to and the results would be absolutely awesome). Some brides are opting for a slightly less hectic form of Trash the Dress – like hopping over stepping stones in a river, or lying in a field of wild flowers, or standing alongside a waterfall. Then there are those who ride the wild stallion, jump on the Harley, run through the thunderstorm, change the car oil (and engine)… You get my drift. Imagination is key here. Think it, and if you’ve got the guts – go for it!

I personally don’t see the point in hoarding a wedding dress for 40 years of your life. You paid for it, you still fit into it (someday you won’t so sorry for you), and you look seriously good in it. So wear it with attitude – your attitude! Oh and your husband can come too! What’s stopping him from pulling on his wedding gear and joining the party? One thing is for certain – you’ll have photographs that your friends will drool over. You’re young. You’re sexy. You’re confident. You’re in the prime of your life. Go on, make your dress happy! Need I go on?
