The Lanzerac Hotel and I go back a bit. The right hand pillar at the start of the long Lanzerac driveway was the entrance to my tiny one-roomed home during my first year at Stellenbosch. So I was really chuffed when Mary and Charl asked me to shoot their wedding up at this fine Hotel. For their engagement shoot we started off at the famous Oom Samie se Winkel, then headed up to the Eerste River, before finally finishing off on the stairs of Mary’s old faculty (which incidentally used to be my Psychology building). It’s a great university, it’s a great town, and they’re a great couple – so here’s to a great wedding!
