So there we were. A bride, a groom, a whole host of guests, a photographer and big, black, seriously threatening clouds and a roaring North-West wind. To be perfectly honest, I was slightly nervous about the prospect of rain, especially since down the road, Cape Town was in the midst of sheets of the stuff. Kathy and Shane, however, were calm throughout and the service and congratulations went off brilliantly. Whoa, let me rephrase that – Kathy, bless her heart, ended up in tears during the vows. She thought she wouldn’t, but the moment got the better of her and bingo! It was a marvelous, unforgettable moment. (Thanks Kathy, you’re a legend!) Anyway, let’s get back to the subject at hand…
Usually, I give my couples a bit more room to chat with their guests, but looking up at the skies, this wasn’t going to happen this time. So of we went, with family and guests putting on a really brave face for the photographs as the wind pulled them this way and that. As for Kathy’s shyness in front of the camera, well, it never emerged as she and Shane went about setting the pace for a fantastic shoot. And let me tell you, there was more to come at the reception. They’d clearly decided to party, as had their guests. And who better to get a party started than the one and only Gabriel! As the Tequila flowed, some incredibly good (and some incredibly dodgy) dancing hit the floor as Gabriel pelted out Greased Lightning, Time Warp and a whole rock show of great hits. Love your work guys!

I LOVE the photos! I got teary eye’d all over again…what a stunning day xx
The whole day was absolutely awesome, just looking back at this pictures helps me to reconstruct how it all unveiled(it flew by so quickly) and absorb everybody’s emotions at particular moments in time.
I absolutely love the photo of Shane and his dad embracing. Its just so heart felt.
Gabriel’s fun and loving spirit is really present in all his photo’s – Gabriel You Rock!
Lauren Bam and Megs I loved your skoons. I can see you took lots of time planning the outfit for the day – all you ladies looked absolutely smashing.
We honestly feel so blessed.
Thank you Warren for sharing and treasuring this day with us.
No, no! Thank YOU Kathy and Shane for inviting me to shoot your wedding. What a day. What a night. What a wedding!
Warren…
These pics are amazing, I can’t wait to see the rest. I love the ‘incredibly dodgy’ timewarp pic. haha.
My absolute favourite is teary Teddy1. The way you placed them captures her emotion perfectly.
Also teddy2 and dad pic. The way the sun is peeping through the clouds just above them emphasizes the blessing of the day.
So what about the wind and clouds, it was lighting PERFECT!
