Marine was so excited about her engagement shoot with Christiaan I thought she might have a quiet heart attack and go belly up. I loved getting her e-mails in the days before we did the shoot because here was a girl who was being seriously enthusiastic – and enthusiastic people are good people. Well, as it turned out, it took them about the time it takes an Olympic athlete to bullet down 100 metres to get into the shoot. ‘Jump up onto that wall for me’ I said to kick proceedings off with and BAM! there they were. And so off we went, shooting a bit at the Castle, a bit outside Charley’s Bakery, and a bit in some dodgy road somewhere in the middle of town. We really just sort of took things as they came which I often find is the best way to get us all through an engagement shoot in one piece. The spontaneity always creates a decent vibe and the photos take care of themselves really. Marine and Christiaan actually ended up with a LOT of engagement photographs to put it mildly, some of which are here for you to take a look at. I wish I could have put them all up for you, but then the page would take too long to load and blah, blah, blah. Enjoy.
