It’s always a bit of a let down when you wake up at ’sparrow’s’ only to find that it’s pouring with rain and your planned engagement shoot up at Kirstenbosch Gardens is about to go completely pear-shaped. So we decided to delay things by half an hour and head out to Rhodes Memorial instead. It wwas really dark, cold and cloudy when Monique and Kaz arrived but we decided to make the best fist of it and look as cheery as possible under the circumstances. So we bushwacked across snake infested mountainside (there are a lot of snake holes on our mountain), climbed incredibly shaky looking trees that had borne the brunt of lightning and then set up a picnic in some very wet grass. Very romantic all round. Here are some of the photos, I hope you enjoy them.

WOW! These are stunning! I can’t wait for our turn!
We had so much fun! It was cold but laughing kept us warm. Thanks Warren, you helped a camera-shy couple discover our inner ‘shhmodels.’
My pleasure Monique!
Wow what stunning photo’s.
Monique you are a natural and look stunning and I can’t wait to see the wedding photos. Warren I love your easy, natural photos. This is a hard act to follow for the wedding.

especially love the photo of you both walking across the log and the photos of you lying in the grass laughing. you could turn one of the photos into a save-the-date fridge magnet and share with guests before actual wedding invites go out
