With so many of my couples unable to contain themselves and falling pregnant quicker than rabbits, I thought it might be time to start getting a bit more seriously into some pregnancy shoots. Which is where Sammy comes in. Who is Sammy? Well, Sammy is the delightful young lady who features in this first ever pregnancy shoot to grace my website. I met Sammy in a um, pub in Constantia. Whoa, it’s not what you think! I noticed she was pregnant, took one look at how nicely groomed she was and wandered over. I told her it would be my pleasure to shoot her if she liked, gave her my number and asked her to call me if she was keen. She called the next day and the rest is history. Now let me tell you, pregnancy shoots are interesting beasts. Generally, the girl is not feeling her awesome best – she’s a bit bloated, somewhat oversized, swollen ankles, a touch nauseous and so on and so on. So when it comes to the shoot, her job is to really just try not to cry and rather to  eat sweets (which Sammy did), and mine is to make her feel relatively good about herself. Sammy’s was an absolute legend and she more than came to the party.  Little Jesse is due around the end of Feb. Looking forward to meeting you one day little chap – and you can be really proud of your mom, she’s the bomb! Oh, last thing – Jane Field who often does the make-up for my brides stepped up to the plate and did Sammy’s make-up on this shoot. Nice work JJ! Oh, and very lastly – Jane is also pregnant. Do you have ANY idea what it’s like dealing with two pregnant women eating chips, chocolates and sweets for 3 hours is? I need a lie down.
