I always encourage my brides to enter the SA Weddings Bride of the Year not only because it’s such a great evening, but because the prizes on offer are generally absolutely awesome. I’ll be shooting the SA Weddings 10th Annual Bride of the Year Competition at MolenVliet Wine and Guest Estate in Stellenbosch on 20 April 2011. This year, the brides are being flown in from across the country for a chance to claim the prestigious title. Over the last nine years, in excess of R1-million worth of prizes has been given away. The 12 finalists will have to impress a panel of celebrity judges which includes the likes of Presenter and Survivor Winner, Vanessa Marawa, model and Top Billing Presenter Lyndall Jarvis and singer/songwriter, Gerald Clark while answering some questions from Comedian MC, Mark Palmer.

This year’s winner will walk away with 5 night’s accommodation at Constance Le Prince Maurice in Mauritius, including breakfast amongst other amazing prizes.

The theme of this year’s live event is “Street Festival” and it promises to provide the guests with a fantastic show. Brides will parade on the Runway showcasing some of the most gorgeous wedding gowns. Entertainment through live-acts will be showcased on the night and promises to keep the guests dancing late into the evening. Pre-drinks and an after party will also be hosted at MolenVliet with Canapés being served throughout the night.
