Morning weddings are rare, but boy are they awesome. Good speeches at weddings are not so rare. Most weddings deliver one or two absolute belters. At Keenan and Danielle’s wedding, we had the best of both worlds – an early morning wedding on a fantastiese dag, and speeches that were sublime. I was literally blown away by the excellence of the speeches. No one who stood up had any notes whatsoever, they just spoke from the heart. And clearly, this bunch know how to string together a word or two. There was some solid advice, some seriously funny joking and a lot of love and loyalty thrown into the mix. You got the feeling that these guys (there were just 35 people at the wedding) were a bunch of good, solid family and friends. A close-knit group that were out to celebrate with everything they had. I caught myself chuckling away on a few occasions as Keenan and Danielle’s pre-wedding love life – how they met, where they met, their first date and so on was brought to the attention of one and all. The day was organized by the very switched on NDG Weddings and Events and went off without a hitch (except for the fact that the tide came rolling in quicker than we all thought and almost turned the ceremony into an unexpected Trash the Dress). Lovely stuff Danielle and Keenan and here’s to the two of you and a long and happy life together!
