When it came to Kev and Roxanne’s wedding, I think good old James Brown said it best: ‘Whoa-oa-oa! I feel good, I knew that I would, now, I feel good, I knew that I would, now – so good, so good, I got you -bum-bum-bum-bum yeeeeeaaaah.’ Because that’s exactly what this wedding at in Langebaan was – full-on, flat-out, feel good stuff. Even the weather (which can sometimes be a bit dodge in Langebaan in July) turned on an exceptional performance with a 34 degree Celsius winter’s day. And from the moment Rox hit the aisle, the mood was one of laughter, joking, jovial celebration. It wasn’t flippant stuff, it was just good, solid happiness. I caught myself chuckling quite a lot during the service as Kevin and Roxanne added a seriously healthy dose of humour to the proceedings. Rox almost ran away just before the vows, Kevin gave the guests a beady eye when they were asked if anyone objected to them getting married, and so on and so forth. The formals were a laugh a minute and when we eventually got down to the beach there was a lot of banter between us and some of the locals. It was refreshing stuff – as were the speeches later on in the evening which had everyone moving between laughter and tears. Good on you guys – that’s what wedding are all about. Here are a few of their photos.
