Marnus and Leandri did a good thing. They flew down (along with just about all of their guests) from Pretoria to hold their wedding at Kleinevalleij in Wellington. Then they went a step further. They employed the outstanding services of Karla Oettler of Absolute Collection to put it all together for them. And what a mind-blowing job Karla did. I arrived at Kleinevalleij early and took a walk around to get a quick feel for the day. Pretty cool walk it was too – crisp, clean, fresh and airy decor was everywhere to be seen. Lots of glass and vases and crystal and couches and light and white orchids. It felt awesome and it set the mood for the rest of the day and night with a bride and groom who lived every moment and every emotion (and plenty of emotion there was), from start to finish. There were so many special touches at Leandri and Marnus’ wedding that we’d be here forever were I to list them, but perhaps it’s the speeches that require a special mention. Everyone spoke well, but when Leandri stood up to speak to her new parents-in-law you could have heard a pin drop. It was incredibly powerful, goose-bump, hair-stand-on-end stuff as she spoke from her heart unlike anything I’ve ever seen before.
